illustration friday- farm

This is a piece I completed in my graduate class this past spring at ODU. I wish I could make it into an animation of how a farm becomes a suburbarm. Yes I just made that word up right there.

Here is another recent piece along the same line of how farm is destroyed as suburb grows from highway. (This one is a painting)

Cool illustrations. Great visuals, and an important message. The suburbarm looks like a computer chip too. Neat.

Living in Norfolk I'm sure you know a thing or two about overdevelopment. Every time I drive through your area on my way south I have to convince myself that driving through Norfolk isn't as bad as driving through D.C. Or least it didn't used to be...wow, lots of new roads. I love your concept here...agree a very important message. This is becoming a problem in parts of PA as well with Amish Farms right next to McMansion developments. Sad. Great Illustrations, though!
