Why does a riding lawnmower have headlights. What did he runover that is bleading? Is this symbolic?
These are just of the few questions I have been asked/have asked myself... I don't know you tell me. I just found a picture of a guy on a riding lawnmower and went with it.

Did you add the flag? Or was that part of the original image?
I did add it. The original photo had an old guy with a hat so I changed that as well. And of course the blood too.
